| Here at the Urban Hound we offer daily daycare for your dog. Never heard of Doggie Daycare? It works just like Daycare for human babies. Drop your beloved pooch off in the morning on the way to work, and while you slave the day away, your pampered pooch is pampered indeed! They will have an active day to insure that they have had the proper amount of exercise to be a happy and healthy dog. Interaction with people and other dogs make your dog a well rounded social dog. Dog's (especially young and elderly) require more attention and observation. Here at the Urban Hound we can cater to all your dogs needs so that he or she will be safe and sound while your away at work. By the time you arrive to pick up your dog you will find your dog tired and ready for bed. As the saying goes "A tired dog is a happy dog". Our day consists of play, training exercises if needed, down time to rest, snack times (snacks are provided unless your dog has special food requirements, if so you may pack a snack). Play time is both inside and out depending on the weather. We offer a dog pool outside for those hot summer days. Our building is temperature controlled so that the dogs are cool in the summer and nice and cozy in the winter. We have two separate daycare areas. One for larger active dogs, and one for very small dogs. All entrance's are gated and dogs are supervised at all times. For the health and safety of your dog and others we do require that our guests comply with our rules and regulations: All dogs must be 3 months of age or older. All dogs must be spayed/neutered by 7 months of age. All dog's must have current dog license. All dogs must have up-to-date vaccinations. Owner must submit written proof of vaccination. DHLPP, Rabies and Kennel cough (Bordatella). Kennel cough vaccine must be given every 6 months opposed to yearly. We also require that your dog have a fecal exam every six months to protect your dog and others from internal parasites. All dogs must be in good health. All dogs must on admission be free of any condition that could jeopardize the health of the other dogs. Dog's that have been or become ill during our program, need a Veterinary written ok, to come back to daycare. All dogs must be non-aggressive and not food or toy protective. Owners will need to certify that their dogs have not harmed or shown any aggressive behavior towards any other dog or human. All dogs must have a complete, up-to-date and approved application on file. There is a $20.00 non-refundable temperament test. This must be done by a staff member. Dogs may stay for the day and see how they react to our day here at the Urban Hound. FEES: Full time- $20.00 per day, 3 days or more per week Part time- $22.00 per day, 2 days or less per week A 10% discount will be offered in a monthly payment is made in advance for full time daycare dogs. We offer multi-dog discounts for families enrolling more than one dog. HOURS: Daycare hours are from 7AM-6PM Monday-Friday. Your dog must be picked up by 6PM unless other arrangements have been made. Dogs will be dogs: While every attempt to maintain a safe atmosphere is taken, dogs will be dogs. In the event of an injury to your pet, we will take the necessary steps to care for you loved one, however all owners must assume all financial responsibility. This also applies to instances in which your pet inflicts an injury to another dog. |
